  • Q&A from our 'Raising the Stakes' webinar - Doug Reeman asks: The Gambling Commission's consultation is aimed at imposing mandatory affordability checks on customers using remote products. The level suggested could be as low as £100 per month and the racing industry has already signalled its concerns around the likely impact on its secotr. I would welcome the panel's view on the Commission's approach and potential alternative approaches that may be appropriate. For Malta participants, are there any plans to introduce similar affordability checks for Malta Licensees?

  • Q&A from our 'Raising the Stakes' webinar - Nigel Harvey from Genting Casino asks: Do you feel that the UK Gambling Commission are 'over regulating' the industry? Since they recieved a compliment from FATF during the UK evaluation, it seems to have encouraged them to become even more draconian around AML/CTF controls.

  • Q&A from our 'Raising the Stakes' webinar - Tom Hill asks: Clearly, detailed Source of Wealth analysis is required when assessing affordability in relation to higher risk customers. That can also lead to establishing a net worth estimation in respect of the individual. I’m curious if SoW analysis / Net worth estimations also feed into responsible gambling / gaming inititiatives or decisions in addition to curstomer affordability?
